Transport authorities confirmed that this agreement will shift commercial exchange from relying on memorandums of understanding and traditional methods to an institutional partnership in accordance with international standards. The new agreement will allow Iraqi and Iranian trucks to pass freely through each other's territories to transport goods to third countries, contributing to the opening of new markets and the activation of transit traffic. It is worth noting that the volume of commercial exchange via land borders between the two countries reached approximately 7.49 million tons from the beginning of this year until the end of August.
