Dijlah Point - The Head of the Border Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waili, announced that the electronic networking system has significantly enhanced auditing and monitoring, reducing reliance on manual efforts. This has positively impacted total revenues, which reached 2.5 trillion dinars during the first seven months of the current year. Al-Waili explained that the system's role extends beyond financial gains, playing a crucial part in protecting society from prohibited goods. Several border crossings nationwide witnessed the seizure of various violations, including the manipulation of goods descriptions and customs values at the Trebil, Al-Waleed, Northern Umm Qasr, Mandali, Zurbatiya, and Shalamcheh crossings, thereby thwarting significant attempts to squander public funds.
