Member of the National Security Committee in the Iranian Parliament, Mojtaba Zarei, quoting the head of the negotiating delegation, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, revealed that Iran's supreme leadership has made a strategic decision to exclude the nuclear file from the agenda of current negotiations. Zarei explained in statements published on Sunday that this firm stance was based on direct directives from the Supreme Leader. He emphasized that Tehran's entry into any negotiation rounds is conducted with prior official approvals and does not represent personal initiatives, but rather a commitment to protecting national interests and state achievements. The Iranian parliamentarian quoted Ghalibaf as confirming that he had clearly informed the American side, as soon as they touched upon the technical details of the nuclear program, that this file is not subject to discussion by a sovereign decision. He also noted that Tehran's positions regarding strategic regional files are unified and cannot be fragmented or compromised within any potential understandings.
