Health departments in the Holy Governorate of Najaf have begun implementing a comprehensive strategic plan coinciding with the influx of pilgrims for the commemoration of the demise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The plan involves the participation of thousands of medical and health cadres, supported by a large fleet of ambulances and field medical detachments deployed along the pilgrims' routes. A state of high alert was declared in all hospitals across the governorate, along with intensified health inspection campaigns on food supplies to ensure their safety. Furthermore, thousands of awareness brochures were distributed to provide medical guidelines, amid high-level coordination with supporting entities to protect the health and safety of the participating crowds.
