Local authorities in Diyala province have launched a comprehensive preventive plan to counter the spread of hemorrhagic fever, following the recent recording of new cases. The plan includes intensive awareness campaigns for citizens about the risks of the disease and methods of prevention, in addition to tightening health measures on butcher shops and livestock slaughtering processes, especially with the approach of the Eid al-Adha season. The measures also include activating veterinary control mechanisms on the movement and transport of livestock to ensure the infection does not spread, while confirming the readiness of health institutions to deal with any emergency.
