dijlahpoint - Lieutenant General Zaid Hawshi al-Mousawi, Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Service, met on Wednesday with his predecessor, General Talib Shaghati al-Kinani, in a meeting that embodied the institutional communication approach to exchange views and expertise in a way that supports the agency's journey and enhances its capabilities.

According to an agency media statement, the meeting witnessed discussions on a number of issues of interest, a review of the CTS's track record and achievements in confronting terrorist gangs, as well as discussions on ways to benefit from accumulated expertise in developing performance and keeping pace with the requirements of the current stage.

The CTS commander affirmed that the agency's distinguished standing was the fruit of accumulated efforts and sacrifices by its leadership and personnel, the blood of its pure martyrs, and the wounds of its brave heroes throughout various stages, stressing the importance of continuing achievements to maintain the agency's readiness and efficiency in performing its national duties in protecting our beloved Iraq and its honorable people.
