Economic sources operating in the oil derivatives sector confirmed that the current fuel shortage crisis extends to several countries in the region and is not limited to the Kurdistan Region. Sources anticipate that prices will stabilize and the crisis will subside in Sulaymaniyah and surrounding areas within the next two months. Reports indicate that supply shortages and changes in supply routes have contributed to rising prices and long queues at petrol stations, despite government efforts to control prices, as the currently supplied quantities cover only about half of the actual daily demand.
