Under the directive of the Prime Minister, the National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, participated on Wednesday in the first International Security Forum in the Russian capital, Moscow, to discuss enhancing strategic partnerships and cooperation in security and economic files. During his meeting with the Secretary of the Russian National Security Council, Al-Araji emphasized the Iraqi government's keenness to develop bilateral cooperation tracks, conveying the greetings of the Iraqi leadership to the Russian leadership. He stressed Iraq's firm stance in supporting de-escalation in the Middle East, adopting dialogue and diplomatic solutions as a fundamental pillar for consolidating regional peace and stability, and revealed plans to hold a new round of meetings of the joint Iraqi-Russian committee.
