Dijlah News has learned that the global ban on smartphone use in primary schools has officially taken effect this month, following the endorsement by UNESCO of a recommendation that involved Iraqi experts. The decision, adopted by over 120 countries, aims to reduce digital distraction and protect children from the risks of social media, while mandating schools to provide alternative devices dedicated solely to educational purposes.
