The Prime Minister's Advisor for Financial Affairs, Mudher Mohammed Salih, affirmed on Wednesday that Iraq is on the verge of strategic economic transformations, based on the directives of Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi aimed at modernizing the state's financial management philosophy. Salih explained that assigning the Minister of Finance the duties of Deputy Chairman of the Ministerial Council for Economy reflects the shift towards transforming the ministry into a sovereign institution concerned with comprehensive economic planning, rather than limiting its role to distributive aspects. He noted that the upcoming phase will witness a transition to sustainable institutional work aimed at reforming the national economic structure and building a balanced partnership between the state and the market under "Iraq Vision 2035," while ensuring the activation of comprehensive oversight to improve citizens' living standards.
