dijlahpoint - The Council of Ministers decided to zero out customs duties imposed on imported solar energy systems into the country, aiming to reduce acquisition costs, encourage citizens to use them, and enhance renewable energy sources.
The Ministry of Electricity stated that the decision came following an official proposal submitted to the Prime Minister's Office, noting the preparation of draft instructions to regulate connecting solar systems to the national grid using smart meters, contributing to lowering electricity bills and easing loads on the grid.
