These moves come in response to environmental warnings about the repercussions of an unprecedented decline in water revenues, which has led to the drying up of the marshes and damage to vast agricultural areas, threatening food security and drinking water sources. The delegation aims to conclude a legally binding agreement in accordance with international norms and establish joint technical committees to ensure the sustainability of water resources for both countries.
