High-Level Iraqi-Turkish Talks to Enhance Energy Cooperation and Resume Oil Exports

A high-level Iraqi delegation, comprising officials from the Ministries of Oil and Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives from the Kurdistan Region, held official talks in the Turkish capital, Ankara, to discuss the future of the oil pipeline agreement between the two countries. Meetings with the Turkish Ministry of Energy focused on finding mechanisms to ensure the resumption and continuity of Iraqi oil exports, serving mutual economic interests. The meetings resulted in advanced understandings to move towards drafting an executive protocol in the upcoming period, paving the way for a new comprehensive agreement that enhances bilateral cooperation in the oil and energy sectors.
