dijlahpoint - The Federal Integrity Commission announced the apprehension of an official and an employee in the Dhi Qar Governorate administration red-handed while receiving financial bribes in exchange for processing official transactions.

The commission stated that a field team from the Dhi Qar Investigation Office headed to the governorate headquarters and succeeded in arresting the accounts department manager and another employee red-handed as they received illegal funds from a contractor in exchange for completing disbursement procedures for a service project in Al-Nasr district.

It added that the accused deliberately obstructed the disbursement transactions despite fulfilling legal conditions, noting that the judge of the Dhi Qar Investigation Court decided to detain them in accordance with Article (308) of the Penal Code to take legal measures against them.
