dijlahpoint - The Federal Integrity Commission announced the execution of an arrest warrant against the former director of Muthanna Electricity Distribution and 12 defendants, in connection with a case of squandering and damaging public funds exceeding six billion dinars, resulting from the purchase of electrical materials without actual need.
The field work team in the Muthanna investigation office monitored, after investigation and auditing, a significant financial waste resulting from the acquisition of electrical equipment that the department does not actually need.
The investigations added that the former director, in association with other defendants, purchased quantities of electrical materials after manipulating measurement units and purchase requests for concealment purposes, while the judge of the Muthanna Integrity Investigation Court decided to detain them in accordance with the provisions of the Penal Code, with a travel ban imposed on all defendants.
