Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters in Iran warned today, Monday (May 4, 2026), that any foreign force attempting to approach the Strait of Hormuz without prior coordination with the Iranian side will be targeted.
A statement issued by the command affirmed that Iranian forces bear responsibility for securing navigation movement in the strait, stressing that ship passage must be coordinated with relevant Iranian authorities under any circumstances.
The statement added that Tehran specifically warns against the approach of US forces to the area, confirming that any such move will be met with a military response.
The statement called on commercial ships and oil tankers to refrain from passing without prior coordination, in order to ensure their safety and navigation security in the strait.
