He added: "Amid major and fateful transformations in the region, our engagement with Russia continues at the highest levels," noting that recent developments have demonstrated the depth and strength of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
For his part, the Russian Foreign Minister stated that his country's position on the conflict calls for halting all military operations and beginning work to reach an agreement, describing the talks between the two sides as "useful."
The Russian President had affirmed during the meeting his country's readiness to do what is necessary to achieve a balance that serves the interests of Iran and the region, emphasizing that Russia will make every possible effort to bring peace to the Middle East as quickly as possible.
