In press statements, Araghchi explained that his visit takes place amid exceptional regional circumstances, praising the Iraqi government's stances supporting de-escalation and condemning attacks. The Minister addressed regional developments, emphasizing the importance of adhering to de-escalation pathways and halting military operations on all fronts, most notably the Lebanese arena, and demanding the withdrawal of Israeli forces from those areas. He also noted that navigation in the Strait of Hormuz will return to normal once current obstacles are removed.
