Dijlah News Agency has revealed, citing the National Communications Commission, a qualitative achievement with the successful launch of the satellite "Dijlah-1" into low Earth orbit, making it the first of its kind to be entirely designed by young Iraqi hands. The project, part of the government's plan to support the technology sector, aims to improve communications and internet services in remote areas, as well as monitor climatic and agricultural changes. Project officials confirmed that this step places Iraq on the map of space technology-producing nations.
