In an urgent move to address the energy crisis, the Iraqi Minister of Electricity has issued immediate directives to form a central operations room working around the clock to monitor the performance of the national grid in the field and directly address technical issues. According to an official statement, this measure aims to develop proactive and rapid solutions to ensure the stability of the electrical system across all provinces and to work on improving and increasing the hours of power supply provided to citizens. This step is part of the Ministry's efforts to contain the recurring crises in the energy sector and overcome the technical challenges facing power generation plants and distribution networks, in response to citizens' expectations for a stable and sustainable electricity service.
