During the call, the President emphasized Iraq's commitment to strengthening ties with European Union institutions and expanding cooperation across the political, economic, investment, and developmental sectors.

Both sides stressed the urgency of intensifying international diplomatic efforts to defuse regional tensions and adopting dialogue to resolve crises, thereby safeguarding stability and security. For his part, the European Council President reaffirmed the EU's support for Iraq's sustainable development and its dedication to enhancing coordination on global security and peace.
