The Ministry of Agriculture announced the launch of rice seed supply operations for farmers as part of the current summer season plan. During an official meeting, the National Seed Council voted to allocate 35 kilograms of various available seed varieties per dunam, with distribution based on a first-come, first-served principle. The Council also approved new mechanisms for receiving, storing, and purifying harvested seeds in cooperation with local factories and institutions formally and free of charge, aiming to support the agricultural sector and secure the requirements for the success of the strategic agricultural plan.
