The Ministry of Electricity announced a strategic plan comprising two tracks and five main axes to add approximately 7,000 megawatts to the national grid, aiming to reach a total production of 35,000 megawatts by 2030. The plan focuses on building new power stations, completing stalled projects, transitioning to combined-cycle systems, investing in solar energy, and upgrading transmission networks to reduce waste. The Ministry also relies on maximizing the utilization of local gas, diversifying imported fuel sources, and advancing regional electrical interconnection projects to enhance energy stability and security.
