The Minister of Health has announced a series of measures aimed at supporting medical personnel, including increasing the salaries of contract employees from medical and healthcare colleges to 600,000 Iraqi Dinars by the end of this year, and incorporating their permanent employment starting in 2027. The minister explained that the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance, amended the original cabinet resolution to explicitly define the legal contractual frameworks and adjust compensation. He added that the draft budget will be submitted to legislative authorities this coming October to formalize permanent integration, while emphasizing ongoing efforts to resolve employment tracks for remaining healthcare graduates subject to ministry regulations.
