Ministry of Health Inaugurates Specialized Cancer Hospital in Mosul

The Iraqi Ministry of Health inaugurated a new hospital specializing in cancer treatment in Nineveh Governorate, aiming to ease the significant pressure on health centers in the capital Baghdad and neighboring provinces. The hospital, which cost more than twenty-five billion Iraqi dinars to build, includes an advanced chemotherapy department and another for radiotherapy with modern equipment imported from Germany and Switzerland. The Minister of Health affirmed during the inauguration ceremony that this medical facility represents a qualitative leap in the healthcare system for liberated provinces, where patients will be able to receive treatment without needing to travel long distances to the capital. He also indicated that the Ministry is about to sign cooperation agreements with international organizations to provide cancer medications at subsidized prices, which will significantly ease the financial burden on families. Residents hope this project will be the beginning of a comprehensive health renaissance in the region.
