The Ministry of Oil followed up on the rehabilitation works of Pipeline 46 for exporting crude oil through the Turkish Ceyhan port, within plans to resume and ensure the smoothness of export operations.
A ministry statement stated that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Extraction Affairs chaired a meeting to follow up on the achievement rates in the pipeline rehabilitation project, in implementation of the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawadi.
The statement explained that the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs, Bassem Muhammad Khudair, chaired the meeting, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Refining Affairs, Adnan Muhammad Hamoud, the Director General of the Oil Projects Company, the Director General of the North Oil Company, in addition to a number of specialists in relevant departments, to discuss the stages of work progress in the project.
It added that the meeting reviewed the achieved completion rates, discussed the most prominent obstacles and challenges facing implementation, and identified the duties and obligations of each company and the time period for each stage, to ensure accelerating the completion of the project according to the drawn plans.
The Undersecretary praised, according to the statement, the great efforts made by the working cadres in the implementing companies, appreciating the continuation of work for intensive hours reaching twenty hours per day, with the aim of accelerating the pace of achievement and completing the project within the specified deadlines.
