The Minister of Water Resources chaired the Opinion Board meeting to discuss strategic files related to water resource management and institutional development. The Minister directed the launch of a major national campaign starting November 1st to remove all violations on the irrigation system and unlicensed fish lakes, ensuring equitable water distribution. He also emphasized the importance of integrity, transparency, and intensifying efforts to combat the water hyacinth plant. The meeting included the approval of a draft memorandum of understanding with Algeria for expertise exchange, alongside reviewing the updated water and land strategy up to 2035 and discussing dam projects in Basra.
