On Friday, MP Alia Nassif of the Construction and Development Bloc hinted at the signs of a new political alliance forming that transcends sectarian alignments, following the confidence vote session for the new government. In a post on the (X) platform, Nassif stated that the proceedings of yesterday's session in the House of Representatives served as a "clear message of the birth of a cross-sectarian political alliance." She explained that this anticipated alliance includes promising political forces capable of shaping the political system in the coming period, emphasizing that it will be a fundamental supporter of the new government's success. The Iraqi House of Representatives voted by majority on Thursday to grant confidence to the government of Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, amidst a notable presence of the presidencies and leaders of political blocs.
