On Saturday (May 30, 2026), MP Raad Al-Dahlaki held the Ministry of Oil and relevant government authorities fully responsible for the ongoing severe gasoline shortage in Diyala Governorate. Al-Dahlaki criticized the weak government response and the lack of fundamental solutions to this months-long crisis, which has exacerbated citizens' suffering and disrupted public interests and daily life in the governorate. In an official statement, he called for an urgent investigation to determine the root causes of the crisis and hold the negligent parties accountable. He also stressed the need for immediate intervention to increase the governorate's allocated fuel quotas to ensure supply stability and end the ongoing hardship.
