Parliamentary circles have called for a comprehensive review of the strategy for building hospitals and health centers in Iraq, stressing that the prolonged delay in completing numerous medical projects exacerbates pressures on the health sector and negatively impacts the quality of services provided to citizens. Parliamentary authorities pointed to the necessity of shifting towards building integrated specialized hospitals that match population growth, rather than focusing solely on primary care centers. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of investing in national medical competencies, providing job opportunities for graduates, and establishing advanced medical centers to treat complex diseases, thereby reducing the need for treatment abroad.
