It was noted that formal parliamentary questions were directed to the responsible entities, containing fundamental observations about the mechanism being followed, amid fears of exposing Iraqi users' data to external parties. The warnings also emphasized that the expected financial return for the state would be highly limited, whereas local telecommunications companies and internet infrastructure projects could suffer severe economic losses.
