The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iraq's Ambassador to the Kingdom, Safia al-Suhail, to deliver a strongly worded protest note regarding drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory targeting vital facilities in the Gulf. Riyadh demanded that the Iraqi government fulfill its responsibilities in controlling armed factions and preventing the use of its territory to threaten the security of its neighbors.
