In a statement marking the anniversary of the founding of the modern Iraqi state, Zidan emphasized the judiciary's commitment to its role as a fortress guaranteeing justice, rights, and freedoms. He explained that consolidating a state of institutions requires respecting constitutional jurisdictions and ensuring the independence of the judicial authority, which ultimately safeguards the country's sovereignty and strengthens public trust in its institutions.
