Iranian authorities have appointed Mohammad Bagher Zolqadr as the Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, succeeding Ali Larijani, who was killed in a recent airstrike.

This appointment coincided with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launching a large-scale missile attack on Israel, triggering air raid sirens across multiple regions. Initial reports indicated that missile shrapnel fell in areas including Haifa and Dimona, causing material damage and limited casualties.

Conversely, two gas facilities in Isfahan and Khorramshahr inside Iran suffered material damage from hostile attacks, with no reported casualties. This comes as US President Donald Trump indicated "promising opportunities" to reach an agreement with Tehran through mediators.
