Tehran: US Administration Drowning in 'Folly' and Its Tweets Do Not Change Reality

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei confirmed on Friday (May 8, 2026) that the US administration is drowning in what he described as "folly," noting that its tweets do not change reality.

Baghaei said in press statements that the despicable nocturnal schemes and naive cosmetic terms, such as describing what happened as a "light slap," will never succeed in erasing a deep-rooted disgrace born from narcissism, greed, reckless miscalculation, and extralegal arrogance.

He added that the consequences of this reckless adventure and rogue behavior have become clear to the entire world, affirming that erratic and delusional tweets no longer possess any pragmatic authority over reality.

He noted that the situation remains as it is, stating: "The more they drown in folly, the more skillful they become in justifying it."

These statements came in the context of escalating political and media rhetoric between Tehran and Washington, following recent developments in the region against the backdrop of the ongoing war between Iran on one side, and the United States and Israel on the other.
