The agreement includes a package of understandings, most notably ensuring unhindered freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran's commitment to removing mines from the strait within 30 days, and its pledge not to seek nuclear weapons. In return, Washington commits to discussing sanctions relief and the release of frozen Iranian assets, alongside establishing a mechanism for delivering humanitarian aid to Iran.
