The 18th Islamic Day Conference on Combating Violence Against Women has officially commenced, under the auspices of the Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, with broad participation from the presidencies and political leaders in the country. The conference seeks to raise community awareness about the challenges and risks women face, as well as to discuss necessary mechanisms to guarantee their rights legally and socially. It also aims to provide strategic visions and recommendations to consolidate the principles of equality and respect, and to activate the role of state institutions in addressing all forms of violence against women.
