The American University in the capital, Baghdad, awarded today the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, an honorary doctorate degree in appreciation of his active contributions to supporting state institutions and consolidating the rule of law. It noted that Judge Zidan, who delivered the keynote address during the ceremony, has played a pivotal role in enhancing the independence of the judiciary and the prestige of the state, in addition to his continuous support for the development of the higher education and scientific research sector in the country.
