Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani directed authorities on Monday to take urgent measures regarding the horrific traffic accident in Kirkuk Governorate, which resulted in multiple casualties and injuries.

An official statement from the Prime Minister's Media Office reported that Al-Sudani received the news of the tragedy with deep sorrow, expressing his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

The statement added that the Prime Minister instructed relevant authorities to immediately contact the families of the victims and the injured to provide all necessary support and care. He also ordered strict legal actions to be taken against anyone found negligent or responsible for the accident.

Furthermore, Al-Sudani emphasized the crucial need to intensify oversight and ensure the strict application of safety and security regulations, alongside full adherence to traffic rules, aiming to prevent the recurrence of such tragic incidents in the future.
