dijlahpoint - Anbar Provincial Police Command announced on Sunday, September 13, 2026, the arrest of 7 suspects caught in the act while attempting to steal an electricity transformer in Al-Zohour residential complex in the city of Fallujah.

In a statement, the command said the arrest operation came under the direct supervision and follow-up of the province's police chief, Staff Major General Adel Hameed Rashid, where detachments of the Fallujah Emergency Police sector, affiliated with the East Anbar Emergency Police Department, foiled the theft attempt after laying a tight ambush for the suspects before they could carry out the crime.

The statement affirmed the command's continued pursuit of outlaws and its confrontation of anyone attempting to tamper with public property or endanger the safety and security of citizens, in protection of public funds and to ensure stability in the province.
