The Wasit Province Police Command announced the successful apprehension of two suspects involved in shooting incidents that targeted residential homes and resulted in the injury of a civilian. In an official statement, the command clarified that Rescue Police forces managed to arrest the suspects, who were riding a motorcycle, following their involvement in targeting two separate houses at different times. The statement added that the arrest followed a security pursuit during which the suspects attempted to resist the forces and draw their weapons. However, the security detachments effectively subdued them, confiscating two pistols, a quantity of ammunition, and four weapon magazines found in their possession. The command confirmed that the suspects, along with the seized items, have been handed over to the competent authorities to complete investigations and necessary legal procedures.
