Medical and security sources in Babil Governorate reported that the casualty toll from an armed conflict in an agricultural area south of the province has risen to two dead and three injured. The sources explained that the dispute, which occurred late at night and involved intense exchanges of gunfire, erupted over severe disagreements regarding agricultural land ownership. The clashes resulted in varying degrees of injuries, with one victim reported to be in critical condition. Upon receiving the report, security forces swiftly intervened to establish a security cordon around the scene and successfully apprehended six individuals involved in the conflict. Competent authorities are currently conducting extensive investigations with the detainees to uncover all circumstances surrounding the incident and take the necessary legal actions.
