The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Friday that Civil Defense teams successfully controlled a fire that broke out inside Al-Numan Hospital in the Adhamiya district of the capital, Baghdad, rescuing six infants from the premature ward with no casualties recorded. Major General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Ministry's Relations and Media Directorate, explained that specialized teams managed to extinguish the fire, which was caused by the combustion of an indoor air conditioning unit in the premature ward's administration room. He emphasized that upon receiving the report, rescue teams immediately initiated rapid and safe evacuation procedures for the infants to ensure their safety, successfully bringing the fire under full control in record time without any loss of life.
