The General Commission of Customs announced on Friday that its detachments successfully seized a truck loaded with foreign-origin "plastic rolls" for violating prevailing regulations and instructions at the Bawa Mahmoud customs checkpoint. The Commission explained that the staff of the Northern Region Customs Directorate, in joint coordination with the National Security Service, Customs Police, and Customs Intelligence, managed to intercept the vehicle during routine inspection and auditing operations at the inspection yard. Preliminary investigations revealed that the imported shipment carried a fake barcode belonging to a local product, constituting fraud and an explicit violation of customs laws. The Commission confirmed that an official seizure report was issued for the confiscated materials, and all standard legal actions were taken against the violators.
