The Communications and Media Commission announced the execution of a series of field operations in collaboration with the judiciary and competent security forces, resulting in the seizure and shutdown of three unlicensed encrypted digital broadcasting networks in Basra Governorate. These operations are part of an ongoing campaign to enforce the law and protect the frequency spectrum from illegal use. Based on judicial warrants, locations affiliated with the violating networks were raided across various areas, including Hai Al-Hussein, Zubair, and Safwan, resulting in the cessation of their broadcasts and the confiscation of all equipment. The procedures also included searching the residences of those involved, leading to the seizure of unlicensed satellite communication devices. The Commission emphasized that these efforts are continuous to deter violators, protect the rights of licensed entities, and ensure full compliance with the legislation governing the telecommunications sector.
