The Diyala Health Directorate, in cooperation with security agencies, successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of medicines not subject to health control in the Canaan sub-district. The operation, executed based on precise information and a tight ambush, resulted in the seizure of a vehicle loaded with approximately 390,000 smuggled medical pieces and the arrest of the offender. This operation is considered one of the largest seizures aimed at protecting local markets from unreliable medicines. The Directorate affirmed the continuation of its strict regulatory and inspection campaigns to ensure the safety of citizens and to take deterrent legal measures against violators.
