Security authorities in the Basra Governorate announced the success of civil defense teams in extinguishing a fire that broke out in a private yard designated as a rest area for heavy truck drivers in the Umm Qasr sub-district. The competent authorities clarified that the fire was limited to engulfing a number of prefabricated cabins (caravans) and did not result in any loss of life or injuries among citizens. Initial investigations indicate that the incident was accidental and resulted from an electrical short circuit, with damages strictly confined to material aspects.
