The General Commission of Customs announced the foiling of an attempt to smuggle two hundred and twenty-six thousand US dollars, which was in the possession of a traveler at the Kirkuk Airport customs center. The Commission stated that the seizure occurred during routine inspection procedures in the departure hall, as the traveler violated the instructions issued by the Central Bank of Iraq. An official seizure report was organized for the incident, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the offender. The Commission affirmed the continuation of its intensive regulatory campaigns to protect the national economy and firmly confront all forms of smuggling.
