The General Traffic Directorate has issued a set of preventive guidelines for vehicle drivers in response to the significant rise in temperatures, which have exceeded fifty degrees Celsius. These directives aim to reduce traffic accidents and fires while ensuring the safety of road users. The Directorate emphasized the necessity of regular vehicle maintenance, warning of the severe risks of leaving flammable materials such as perfumes, compressed gas canisters, and batteries inside cars exposed to direct sunlight. It also highlighted the importance of checking tire pressure and the validity of fire extinguishers, urging drivers to refuel at official stations and monitor coolant levels to prevent engine failures.
