Official health authorities announced the destruction of substantial quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances at the Forensic Medicine Department in the capital, implementing the directives of supreme authorities concerned with drug control. The operation included the destruction of tens of kilograms and thousands of narcotic pills, in addition to liquid substances and ampoules, under the direct supervision of judicial authorities and in the presence of representatives from various specialized governmental and security entities. The supervising committees confirmed that the destruction process was carried out in designated high-temperature incinerators to ensure the complete elimination of chemical substances, noting the continuation of national efforts aimed at combating the drug epidemic and limiting its threat to society.
